The Broker - What It Is
Tab Trade launched in Q1 2026. Online broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, the well-known broker.
That last detail tells you something. It means the founder knows how a proper broker operates. Does not guarantee anything. Still preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.
They launched with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Unusual for a new broker.
Market coverage: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, equities, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. 1,000+. For something that launched in March 2026, that coverage is not narrow.
The Software
You get: MT5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from a single account. Most brokers pick one platform. Getting both matters. Pick what suits your style.
MT5 is what most people know. Full charting, EAs, massive community. If you have used MT4 or MT5 previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader is the more modern one. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders prefer it once they try it.
FIX API is available for bots but needs the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is apparently coming. That will be a good addition once it is live.
Costs
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the raw spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost can be under half a pip. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that offer pricing like this ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. TabTrade has no minimum.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not something most retail traders. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.
Infrastructure
This is the area where Tab Trade actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. Most retail brokers run a much wider range.
Should you care? If you scalp, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That signals something about priorities.
Combine that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the overall offering holds up. Not many platforms with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.
Regulation
This is the detail that matters. The broker is licensed by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No CySEC. No government-backed safety net. If that is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. The founder spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement costs real money. Scam brokers do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. It does inform your assessment.
What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off is worth it depends on you.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade runs bonus funds of up to $2,000. Typical sign-up bonus. You put money in, TabTrade credit extra capital. Standard terms apply: trading volume requirements before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Review the fine print before you deposit.
